Melinda Richter is the founder and owner of Curated, a one-stop shop for collectors of art, antiques, and collectibles. Curated offers a full range of collection management services including appraisals, consulting, and online auction sales.
Melinda is an expert facilitator with a depth of experience in the arts and heritage field. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Wilfred Laurier, a Master of Arts from the University of Toronto, and a Graduate Certificate in Museum Management and Curatorship from Fleming College. She is a current member of the Canadian Personal Property Appraisers Group and is USPAP compliant.
Melinda has earned a reputation as a trustworthy and skilled professional by forging meaningful partnerships between herself and her clients. Her trademark is an in-depth, compassionate interaction with collectors and their pieces. Prior to offering any advice or assistance, Richter gathers all the pertinent information about a collection, including each item’s historical significance, the client’s personal connection to their possessions, and the current market demand for each piece. She is then able to assist her clients with making informed decisions about what to keep, sell, donate or give away.
